Friends of the Library/ Strafford Library Association
The Friends of the Library/Strafford Library Association (SLA) is a non-profit organization committed to the success of the Hill Library. The Friends’ contributions to Hill Library cannot be overstated, from providing land for the Library site to the construction of the building and eventual transition to the Town of Strafford. They continue to be a source of volunteers, ideas, and funding for programs and offerings, such as sponsoring the Hill Library’s Museum Program.
The Friends of the Library are always interested in welcoming new members, who bring fresh ideas and are interested in continuing to make Hill Library a place where our community can gather and grow. We meet at the Library several times a year. Call the library or check the Events calendar for upcoming meetings.
Volunteers
The Library could not run as smoothly without the contribution of many volunteers in the community. Our volunteers sponsor programs and clubs, assist us with technology, help in the garden, prepare new books and shelve old books, and do so many other helpful activities throughout the Library!
Some of our frequent volunteers include Anne, Donna, Eddie, Greg, Joyce, Leanne, Maris. If you are interested in helping us as we expand our Library programs and offerings, please contact the Library.
